Kelly Brown
Do Right Flower Farm was started by Kelly Brown in 2021 and now grows over 200 varieties of annuals and perennials on four acres in Davenport, CA. Do Right is nestled in the woods, hugged by the creek, a mile upstream from the beach making certified organic growing practices vital to being good neighbors. Kelly and their team are invested in positive change in the broader flower farming community by engaging in ecological integrated pest management research and education, presenting and publishing about methods to reduce loss from pests without chemicals. Kelly started the Santa Cruz Flower Hub in 2022 to share infrastructure with smaller local growers and collaborate on marketing and continues to act as co-manager. Kelly is proud to employ nine skilled farmers at a higher than average farmworker wage and prioritizes a safe and inclusive workplace for farmers. Do Right’s flowers are sold to florists, wholesale, through DIY buckets, weddings/events, and a farmers market.

Cristina McCutheon
Local life Flowers is a one-woman flower farm and design studio in the mountains of northern Santa Cruz County, CA. I cultivate about 1/2 an acre of a diverse range of cutting flowers & foliage, including specialty Narcissus and an evolving collection of Peonies and Roses. In addition, I steward 11 acres of mixed Redwood/Oak forest, where I selectively harvest foliage as an integrated part of wildfire fuel reduction. My approach to farming is informed by over 20 years of working in organic and biodynamic horticulture/agriculture.

Charlotte and Bryan Kett
We are Charlotte and Bryan Kett, the humans behind Frog & Feather Flowers. We grow our flowers on 1/4 acre in the Larkin Valley area of Watsonville. We strive to farm with nature by providing habitat for birds, insects and other wildlife that shares the land with us. We use minimal tillage practices and instead incorporate compost, cover crops and use silage tarps to improve soil organic matter, sequester carbon and support soil life. This will be our 5th growing season and we specialize in growing all the special juicy bits that our florists love. Our favorite flowers to grow are dahlias and each year we dedicate more of our plot to these beauties, striving to find the unique colors and rare varieties. We love being part of the local flower movement and providing the best flowers to our community.
